Yen Yen Woo co-founded TalkingCock.com, together with Colin Goh, which is the hugely popular and award-winning satirical website in Singapore. They also produced a critically-acclaimed comedy CD and The Coxford Singlish Dictionary, a bestselling lexicon of Singaporean vernacular English that the Times of London pronounced “invaluable”. Singapore Dreaming, the 2nd feature that they wrote, directed, and produced, opened to rave reviews in their home country and won the Montblanc New Screenwriters Award at the 54th San Sebastian International Film Festival, the Audience Award for Narrative Feature at the 30th Asian-American International Film Festival and the Best Asian/Middle Eastern Film Award at the 20th Tokyo International Film Festival.

A former Research Fellow and Lecturer at Teachers College, Columbia University, Yen Yen is also an Associate Professor at Long Island University in New York, where she teaches graduate courses in curriculum development, social foundations of education, and research methods. She is also the creator of Dim Sum Warriors, a comics series on the iPad and in print, and soon to be a stage musical in Shanghai, China.
