Suffian Hakim
Writer
Suffian Hakim woke up one day and discovered that he had inadvertently grown into an adult. In the ensuing panic, he began a career as a writer, contributing articles and scripts to local magazines and television shows. He has authored two novels, and is currently working on his third. In 2017, he was the second runner-up for the prestigious Esquire X Montblanc Fiction Writer Prize. The Straits Times has described Suffian as “undoubtedly one of the most whimsical, creative and unpretentious young voices in Singapore literature”, while his mother has described him as “criminally negligent in cleaning his room”
