Ben Shedd
Professor
Ben Shedd is Professor, Digital Filmmaking at the School of Art, Design and Media, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. He has taught film and video production, producing, and immersive media at seven colleges and universities including his alma mater, the University of Southern California’s School of Cinematic Arts, and the California Institute of the Arts, Princeton University, and Boise State University. In parallel with University teaching, Ben has directed and produced 33 films and videos, including 3 IMAX® giant screen immersive movies. Ben shares a 1974 Peabody Award for the PBS NOVA® science series and the 1978 Academy Award® Oscar® for Best Documentary Short Subject for THE FLIGHT OF THE GOSSAMER CONDOR, about history’s first successful human-powered airplane.
