Sara Soulier
Vice President
Sara is an avid champion of environmental conservation. She works as a freelancer, designing and advising on eco-educational programmes, events and trainings throughout Asia. Sara is also a seasoned philanthropist, with years of experience managing her family’s foundation in the US. She plans to start a new social impact fund for the ASEAN region, focused on finding and scaling solutions to waste and plastic pollution. Previously, Sara led international development efforts and partnerships at Green School Bali. She’s spent years curating and organising eco-festivals and green educator courses - promoting sustainability. Beyond education and spreading awareness, she has been committed to fighting waste issues on the ground. Her past projects have included the creation of a local waste bank, organising both of Bali’s largest island wide clean-ups, and developing MPH - a decentralised model of waste management in her own village. Sara’s also focused her time on policy and regulation, campaigning for a charge on plastic bags, as the Strategic Advisor to Bye Bye Plastic Bags - a youth initiative started in Bali. She continues to manage and mentor the 17+ BBPB teams around the world, that have been launched with the same shared mission to say NO to single use plastic bags.
