Eugene Soh
Artist, Designer and Programmer
Eugene Soh a.k.a. DUDE (b. 1987) is a computer programmer who accidentally became an artist when his photographic piece, contextualizing Da Vinci’s Last Supper in a local hawker centre setting, surfaced on social media in 2012. That discovery, with its tongue-in-cheek commentary on contemporary life in Singapore, catapulted him into the art world. He has since been a full-time artist making photos, digital installations and apps. Virtual Reality is a new medium for everyone and all the major companies are competing to define the "VR standard". Before a champion emerges, Eugene will show you the most convenient, comfortable and cheapest way for you to enjoy the world's VR content, including his own. He’ll also be sharing about how he finds new grounds for storytelling beyond photographs and videos - using VR and code.
